The WiFi Bridge Set is suitable for most cooking environments. In the comfort of your home, you can see the Stick's temperature on the App as long as you have internet access. If you are cooking outdoors and do not have internet access, the WiFi Bridge can turn into an Xtender and function without internet. In Xtender Mode, the Stick's Bluetooth range will be extended up to 300ft/100m (Open Air), so it is very adaptable :)
The WiFi Bridge uses both WiFi and Bluetooth. If you use Xtender mode indoors, you will be able to wander 100ft/30m away, and 300ft/90m away outdoors.

The only thing that is required is for the Stick to be completely inserted into the meat. As such for smaller cuts of meat, we recommend you to use the MeatStick Mini.
Yes, both the MeatStick and MeatStick Mini are deep fryer safe! As long as the Stick is inserted completely into the meat and the temperatures didn't exceed the threshold.
As a reminder, the MeatStick ambient temp max resistance is up to 572°F/300°C, internal temp max resistance max 212°F/100°C.
As for the MeatStick Mini, the ceramic handle max resistance is also up to 572°F/300°C, and the internal temp max resistance max 185°F/85°C.
The MeatStick can be used in a crockpot/slow cooker. However, it is not meant for that and there may be warnings coming up as it approaches 212°F. Technically speaking, these braising cooking will eventually reach a temperature of around 205°F.
When using a cooking chamber/smoker (or any closed cooking device), we recommend combining with The MeatStick X/MeatStick MiniX Chargers and/or WiFi Bridge in order to relay the signal! You will need to place these within 6 ft of the Stick in order to pick up the signal :)
The Stick will turn off automatically if it is not in use for 30 minutes after pairing and that the thermometer is in a place that has a lower heat than 109°F. We do not yet have a feature to make it for lower temperature cooking.

Electronics and batteries usually break down at temperatures over 150°F. We were able to put together a high heat resistant battery and electronics that are capable of withstanding heats of 212°F. Of course an oven or grill will get hotter than that, but since the battery and electronics are fit within the Stick that is fully inserted in the meat, it is protected from those high temperatures.
As you won't be cooking your meats over 212°F, our Sticks will do just fine as long as it is properly inserted into the meat. On the other hand the handle of the Stick will be exposed to the harsh heat and thus we made it able to withstand heat up to 572°F (300°C). Please be careful when it is exposed to heat over this temperature. Flares-ups tend to exceed this temperature if the Stick is not removed quickly enough. Such sudden heat increases will damage the Stick.
As for the MeatStick, the maximum heat resistance:
• Ceramic Handle: 572°F/300°C
• Stainless Steel Stick/Internal Sensor: 185°F/85°C
*Make sure the Stick has been inserted correctly in the meat otherwise it will not just affect the inaccurate temperature but might also damage the Stick.
The MeatStick / MeatStick Mini are dishwasher safe, sous-vide safe, and deep-fry safe.

The MeatStick has dual temperature sensors. One on the top ceramic handle to monitor the Ambient temperatures. The other one is in the MeatStick's body to monitor the Internal meat temperatures.

| The MeatStick has an internal temp resistance of up to 100°C/212°F. The sensor is around 1.5 - 2 inches away from the pointy tip of the Stick. The MeatStick Mini has an internal temp resistance of up to 85°C/185°F. The sensor is around 1 inch away from the pointy tip of the Stick. As such the internal temp, can be affected if the Stick is not inserted correctly. If a Stick pokes out from the meat, it'd be taking high heat from outside and bringing it in as metal conducts heat better than meat and so if this is the case the temperature may be 'higher' than expected. |

| The MeatStick has an ambient temp resistance of up to 300°C/572°F. (The MeatStick Mini doesn't have an ambient sensor.) The ambient temp sensor is touching the stainless steel cap of the Stick. Because of heat diffusion, the handle and cap must come to temperature and that’s what the sensor is measuring. As the surface area is rather large and it’s next to the meat. The sensor will tend to measure something a bit different than other ambient sensors (ex: grill/oven temperature). This is because of the humidity coming off the meat as well as it not being an instant-read measuring one point. |
An Internet connection is only necessary if you would like to save your data on the Cloud, or if you need to use the unlimited range function on our WiFi Bridge. If there is no internet access, the WiFi Bridge offers the Bluetooth/Xtender Mode to extend the Stick's range up to 300ft/90m (Open Air).

The Xtender is a Bluetooth signal amplifier. With the Xtender, the Stick's range will be extended up to 300ft.
The MeatStick X and MeatStick MiniX chargers comes with a built-in Xtender making it easier than ever to extend the range of your Sticks up to 260ft/80m (Open Air). The Xtender function is compatible with previous generations of MeatSticks.
The chargers are also modular: a MeatStick X/MeatStick MiniX charger will extend the Bluetooth signal of any MeatStick or MeatStick Mini Stick in the area.
The WiFi Bridge has this Bluetooth repeating feature as well. When there is no internet access, you can switch the WiFi mode to the Bluetooth / Xtender mode. It will extend your Stick's range up to 300ft/100m (open air).
Place them closely next to the Stick that is cooking, within 6 ft / 2 m or closer if possible since the signal could easily get blocked when cooking in enclosed grill / oven.

The WiFi Bridge Set is suitable for most cooking environments. In the comfort of your home, you can see the Stick's temperature on the App as long as you have internet access. If you are cooking outdoors and do not have internet access, the WiFi Bridge can turn into an Xtender and function without internet. In Xtender Mode, the Stick's Bluetooth range will be extended up to 300ft/100m (Open Air), so it is very adaptable :)
The WiFi Bridge uses both WiFi and Bluetooth. If you use Xtender mode indoors, you will be able to wander 100ft/30m away, and 300ft/90m away outdoors.

The only thing that is required is for the Stick to be completely inserted into the meat. As such for smaller cuts of meat, we recommend you to use the MeatStick Mini.
Yes, both the MeatStick and MeatStick Mini are deep fryer safe! As long as the Stick is inserted completely into the meat and the temperatures didn't exceed the threshold.
As a reminder, the MeatStick ambient temp max resistance is up to 572°F/300°C, internal temp max resistance max 212°F/100°C.
As for the MeatStick Mini, the ceramic handle max resistance is also up to 572°F/300°C, and the internal temp max resistance max 185°F/85°C.
The MeatStick can be used in a crockpot/slow cooker. However, it is not meant for that and there may be warnings coming up as it approaches 212°F. Technically speaking, these braising cooking will eventually reach a temperature of around 205°F.
When using a cooking chamber/smoker (or any closed cooking device), we recommend combining with The MeatStick X/MeatStick MiniX Chargers and/or WiFi Bridge in order to relay the signal! You will need to place these within 6 ft of the Stick in order to pick up the signal :)
The Stick will turn off automatically if it is not in use for 30 minutes after pairing and that the thermometer is in a place that has a lower heat than 109°F. We do not yet have a feature to make it for lower temperature cooking.

Electronics and batteries usually break down at temperatures over 150°F. We were able to put together a high heat resistant battery and electronics that are capable of withstanding heats of 212°F. Of course an oven or grill will get hotter than that, but since the battery and electronics are fit within the Stick that is fully inserted in the meat, it is protected from those high temperatures.
As you won't be cooking your meats over 212°F, our Sticks will do just fine as long as it is properly inserted into the meat. On the other hand the handle of the Stick will be exposed to the harsh heat and thus we made it able to withstand heat up to 572°F (300°C). Please be careful when it is exposed to heat over this temperature. Flares-ups tend to exceed this temperature if the Stick is not removed quickly enough. Such sudden heat increases will damage the Stick.
As for the MeatStick, the maximum heat resistance:
• Ceramic Handle: 572°F/300°C
• Stainless Steel Stick/Internal Sensor: 185°F/85°C
*Make sure the Stick has been inserted correctly in the meat otherwise it will not just affect the inaccurate temperature but might also damage the Stick.
The MeatStick / MeatStick Mini are dishwasher safe, sous-vide safe, and deep-fry safe.
*The MeatStick 2018 should not be used in any of the above conditions.

The MeatStick has dual temperature sensors. One on the top ceramic handle to monitor the Ambient temperatures. The other one is in the MeatStick's body to monitor the Internal meat temperatures.
*ONLY The MeatStick has Dual Sensors, the MeatStick Mini only has 1 internal sensor.

| The MeatStick has an internal temp resistance of up to 100°C/212°F. The sensor is around 1.5 - 2 inches away from the pointy tip of the Stick. The MeatStick Mini has an internal temp resistance of up to 85°C/185°F. The sensor is around 1 inch away from the pointy tip of the Stick. As such the internal temp, can be affected if the Stick is not inserted correctly. If a Stick pokes out from the meat, it'd be taking high heat from outside and bringing it in as metal conducts heat better than meat and so if this is the case the temperature may be 'higher' than expected. |

| The MeatStick has an ambient temp resistance of up to 300°C/572°F. (The MeatStick Mini doesn't have an ambient sensor.) The ambient temp sensor is touching the stainless steel cap of the Stick. Because of heat diffusion, the handle and cap must come to temperature and that’s what the sensor is measuring. As the surface area is rather large and it’s next to the meat. The sensor will tend to measure something a bit different than other ambient sensors (ex: grill/oven temperature). This is because of the humidity coming off the meat as well as it not being an instant-read measuring one point. |
An Internet connection is only necessary if you would like to save your data on the Cloud, or if you need to use the unlimited range function on our WiFi Bridge. If there is no internet access, the WiFi Bridge offers the Bluetooth/Xtender Mode to extend the Stick's range up to 300ft/90m (Open Air).

If you are using more than 1 Stick at a time, we recommend you to have the Xtender / MeatStick X / MeatStick MiniX and/or the WiFi Bridge placed closely to your Sticks. (Within 6ft/2m)
The Xtender is a Bluetooth signal amplifier. With the Xtender, the Stick's range will be extended up to 300ft.
The MeatStick X and MeatStick MiniX chargers comes with a built-in Xtender making it easier than ever to extend the range of your Sticks up to 260ft/80m (Open Air). The Xtender function is compatible with previous generations of MeatSticks.
The chargers are also modular: a MeatStick X/MeatStick MiniX charger will extend the Bluetooth signal of any MeatStick or MeatStick Mini Stick in the area.
The WiFi Bridge has this Bluetooth repeating feature as well. When there is no internet access, you can switch the WiFi mode to the Bluetooth / Xtender mode. It will extend your Stick's range up to 300ft/100m (open air).
Place them closely next to the Stick that is cooking, within 6 ft / 2 m or closer if possible since the signal could easily get blocked when cooking in enclosed grill / oven.
